Whether you are a casual golfer looking for a friendly place to play or seeking a little competition, Columbia Golf & Country Club has what you are looking for. Both men and women have robust leagues and tournaments throughout the season, with different formats to appeal to all types of golfers. We have several informal men’s groups that meet regularly for friendly games, such as a “Tuesdays at Ten” gathering, a Friday midday group, and early and mid-morning mixed groups on weekends. Women golfers have their own Wednesday morning league of both 9 and 18 holes, as well as friendly play throughout the week. If you simply want to play a round of golf with a family member or friend, the tee sheet is never overcrowded.
Interested in a bit of fun and competition

Want to bring friends for a bit of competitive golf?
The Golf Committee hosts a one-day and multi-day Member-Guest tournaments. These tournaments provide members with an opportunity to show off our best-in-county golf course. Many guests have become a member once they have seen what Columbia has to offer.
Men’s Golf also has a “Player of the Year” competition where male players accumulate points for participation in, and performing well in, our various tournaments. The top players in the standings qualify for our late season, inter-club Ryder Cup style competition against neighboring clubs, and the player who finishes the season with the highest total points is crowned our Player of the Year.
Women golfers can compete against themselves in the season long Ringers, Birdies, and Chip-Ins Tournament (RBC) to achieve a season best low score. From the beginning of May through Labor Day, each time a participant plays golf at CGCC, she records her score for each and any hole if the score on that hole is an improvement over the previously posted score for that hole. At the end of the tournament, each participant has a final composite RBC score. Cash prizes for low score, birdies, and chip-ins are awarded in mid-September.
Throughout the season, women golfers can attend mini golf clinics to improve their games. Led by CGCC Golf Pro Steven Simeon.
Want to interest the younger members of your family in the game of golf, we offer periodic junior golf clinics that are not to be missed.
See you on the course.
