Women’s Golf

Women’s Weekly Wednesday League

The league is set up so women golfers of all abilities can choose to play either 9- or 18-hole rounds on Wednesday mornings from early May through mid-September. The CGCC Golf Pro, Steven Simeon, organizes diverse game formats, ensuring players can post scores for an accurate handicap. Steven also handles pairings and announces weekly winners. The League is a friendly group that gathers for lunch together after golf in the Grill Room. At the end of the season, league members celebrate with a special luncheon, where prizes are awarded, including for example, most improved, highest league attendance, lowest ringer score, and more. Contact the Golf Pro for more information.

Ringers, Birdies, and Chip-Ins Tournament (RBC)

Women golfers can compete against themselves to achieve a season best low score.  From the beginning of May through Labor Day, each time a participant plays golf at CGCC, she records her score for each and any hole if the score on that hole is an improvement over the previously posted score for that hole. At the end of the tournament, each participant has a final composite RBC score. Cash prizes for low score, birdies and chip-ins are awarded in mid-September.
